UBC Medical Journal publishes its third issue!

The UBC Medical Journal would like to thank everyone that attended and participated in the launch of our third issue. As you can see from the photos, it was a huge success. The focus of our third issue (Volume 2, Issue 1) is Interprofessional Education and all our articles are now available for you to view online. Check it out here.

Our launch event included presentations from Dean Gavin Stuart of the Faculty of Medicine, Associate Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Sharon Salloum, Victoria Wood and Valerie Ball from the College of Health Disciplines, Diane Wu (MUS President), and Tristen Gilchrist (MD Class of 2013 President). We also had a special performance from Dan Heffner from the MD Class of 2013!

As part of our event, we also awarded the Pollock Clinics Distinguished Writing Award to Renee Janssen for her article on Permanent Childhood Hearing Impairment and the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program in British Columbia. Read this article here.
