| OverviewThe 6th Annual MUS-UBCMJ Research Forum is taking place on March 30, 2010 at the Life Sciences Centre. More than 100 students participated last year, highlighting the popularity and recognition of this event, and participation is expected to grow. The UBC Medical Journal was developed with the aim of promoting a stronger student research community and has partnered with the MUS and MD/PhD program to host this year's research forum. The purpose of this event is to celebrate research by providing an opportunity for medical students to share their projects and ideas through poster presentations. In addition, this year's research forum coincides with the much anticipated release of the second issue of the UBC Medical Journal focusing on Global Health. All are welcome—don't miss this excellent opportunity to showcase your research and network! Prominent clinician-scientists have been invited to give keynote addresses regarding their work as researchers and physicians. Confirmed speakers include Dean Gavin Stuart, UBC Medicine and Dr. Evan Wood, Co-Director of the Urban Health Research Initiative and Clinical Associate Professor, Division of AIDS, Faculty of Medicine, UBC. This event is co-hosted by the Medical Undergraduate Society, the UBC Medical Journal, and the UBC MD/PhD program. Major sponsors include the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Contact |
